【Year/Manufacturer/Model/Special note/Color】
推定1992年頃/SONY/PDP-15C/For Professional Use/Pro DAT Plus/DAT/15分
【Photo】
【Explanation】
The PDP-15C is a 15-minute Digital Audio Tape (DAT) cassette from Sony’s “Pro DAT Plus” line, designed for professional audio use such as mastering and broadcast recording. Judging from its product code format and the “Pro DAT Plus” branding—which emerged after Sony’s early DAT products in the late 1980s—the tape was likely released around 1992. With a relatively short duration of 15 minutes, it was optimized for specific professional applications such as commercial spots, radio programs, or reference test recordings. Due to limited public documentation, surviving examples offer insight into the high-grade professional DAT media landscape of the early 1990s.
