展示品をどうやって集めたか？
当館は2022年から2025年までに4000点の記録メディアと機器を収集しました。2022年頃はコロナ禍で世界中はパンデミックの世界にありました。外出も出来ず家にいることを強制されました。やることもなかったので家の不用品を捨てたりしました。私たちは不要になった古い機器がどんどん捨てられているのをSNSで見て驚きました。これらを今保護しておかないと歴史が失われてしまう！今では使えなくなってしまったメディア機器は寄贈してください！そう呼びかけたところ日本中からカメラやオーディオ、ケータイ、製品カタログが寄せられるようになったのです。当館の収蔵品の8割は寄贈品です。あとの2割は館長が日本中のリサイクルショップを周り集めています。

How Were These Exhibits Collected?
The museum's collection began in 2022 and grew to more than 4,000 items by 2025. At that time, the world was still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. People were encouraged to stay home, travel was restricted, and many spent their time cleaning out closets, attics, and storage rooms.
Through social media, we were surprised to see large numbers of old cameras, audio equipment, mobile phones, and other media devices being discarded. We felt that if these objects were not preserved immediately, an important part of technological history could be lost forever.
We began asking people to donate media devices that were no longer used. The response exceeded all expectations. Cameras, audio equipment, mobile phones, computers, and product catalogs arrived from across Japan. Today, roughly 80 percent of the museum's collection consists of donated items. The remaining 20 percent has been collected by the museum director through visits to recycling shops and secondhand stores throughout the country.
这些展品是如何收集而来的？
本馆的收藏工作始于2022年，并在2025年前收集了超过4,000件藏品。当时，全球仍处于新冠疫情期间。人们被迫减少外出，长时间待在家中，许多人开始整理家中的储藏室、阁楼和旧物。
我们在社交媒体上看到大量旧相机、音响设备、手机以及各种媒体产品被当作废品丢弃，对此感到十分震惊。我们认为，如果不立即对这些物品进行保护，许多与技术发展相关的重要历史将会永远消失。
于是我们开始呼吁公众捐赠已经不再使用的媒体设备。出乎意料的是，来自日本各地的捐赠不断涌入。相机、音响、手机、电脑以及产品目录陆续来到这里。如今，本馆约80%的藏品来自社会捐赠，其余约20%则由馆长亲自走访日本各地的回收商店和二手市场收集而来。
