1956/RICOH/Super Ricohflex/Twin-Lens Reflex Camera/120 Film/6×6 Format/80mm F3.5/Black & Silver

Introduced by Riken Optical Industries, now Ricoh, in 1956, the Super Ricohflex is a twin-lens reflex camera using 120 roll film to produce 6×6cm square photographs. It features a RICOH VIEWER 8cm F3.5 viewing lens above and a RICOH ANASTIGMAT 8cm F3.5 taking lens below. The two lenses are coupled by exposed intermeshing gears, allowing both lenses to move together during focusing—a distinctive feature of the Ricohflex series. The camera is fully manual and has no exposure meter. Several versions of the Super Ricohflex were produced, primarily for the U.S. market. Its simple construction and affordable approach to medium-format photography make it representative of Japan's popular twin-lens reflex cameras of the 1950s.
